🌤️ Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Rinca Island is during the dry season (April–November), when the weather is sunny and the trekking trails are easy to walk.
During the wet season (December–March), the island turns lush green, offering beautiful scenery but hotter, more humid conditions.

If you want to see Komodo dragons active and hunting, visit in the morning (around 8–10 a.m.), when temperatures are cooler.

🛶 Conservation and UNESCO Status

Rinca Island is part of Komodo National Park, established in 1980 to protect the Komodo dragon and its habitat.
The park was later declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve in 1991 for its exceptional natural value, both on land and underwater.
